48 Hours in Milan with Alex Novai
A Milan travel diary by Alex Novai: an Armani hotel stay, fashion, the Duomo, café breaks and a rooftop dinner, all in 48 hours.

A Stay at the Heart of Fashion
For these three days and two nights, Alex checks in at the Armani Hotel Milano, in the heart of the Quadrilatero della Moda. The address naturally extends the mood of the stay: understated lines, noble materials and Milanese elegance.

Once settled in, Milan already feels like a film set. On Via Manzoni, the shop windows, façades and silhouettes set the tone for a stay designed as much for walking as for looking.

The Duomo as a Backdrop
The second day begins on Piazza del Duomo. Alex changes outfit, strikes a pose and lets the shoot follow the movement of the city. A camel coat against pale stone, a white shirt in the studio light, then a more relaxed look: each image tells a different side of Milan.
A Break Between Takes

Between takes, Alex stops at a terrace for an espresso. These less staged moments are part of the journey too: a marble table, late-afternoon light and the Duomo in the background.
Evening at Armani/Ristorante

On the second evening, Alex stays in the hotel to dine at Armani/Ristorante, on the seventh floor. From the dining room, Milan gradually lights up and the Duomo becomes a landmark in the night.
After a day of walking and photography, dinner is a calmer pause, with contemporary Italian cuisine and a view that reminds you Milan can be just as spectacular after dark.
Three Days, Two Nights, Plenty of Images
On the last morning, Alex walks the streets of the centre one more time before leaving. Milan leaves behind references, silhouettes and a series of images that will carry the trip well beyond the departure.
In 48 hours, the city brings together hotels, fashion, architecture, gastronomy and visual creativity without ever making you feel rushed.
Milan isn’t simply visited. It is watched, felt and photographed.
